Story:
Poppington Arthur is not exactly the brightest . He is slightly retarded and is often misunderstood.
But what most do not know when the night falls, he finished his job as a road worker and a fighter against evil, the Defendor.
With his self-made weapons and his courage, he looks for the big bad of the city, Captain Industry.
One night, as he tries to help young prostitutes Kat, he becomes a big nuisance of crime boss of the city and moved, without knowing it, a crime syndicate on too much for comfort.
With the help of Kat, he is a very big thing on the track, but he is unfortunately misunderstood by his friends and the cops were crazy.
The Movie:
Similar to the one year later released "Kick-Ass" turns in the film about what happens if they keep "normal" people for superheroes.
But the eponymous hero Defendor is no one who has read too many comics, he is none of the cops not dare, he simply wants to improve only the world, in which he tried on drugs, human trafficking and corrupt to fight, even if it never works as expected. was written
the script for the film in 2005, but no one was Peter Stebbings delight in Hollywood about his idea, then 2 years passed before the first prospect the film offered to finance and a further 2 years until he was finally shot.
My opinion:
The film itself is not moving, a somewhat transverse type takes the chase alone in the hand and thus sometimes more and sometimes less Success. This is something we have already seen dozens.
But what makes this movie different is the role of Defendor himself, Woody Harrelson brings the spirit of the young at heart across very believable character and the type of character is how he tailored to the body.
They want to actually learn more about the character and is happy every time you get one again served up a little flashback that tells us why he is what he is.
remains until the end of the story well told and one is never sure how well it goes, he will now make the evil done, or he gets them from the polished face?
But this is a film of mine called "moral Bitch" because they are trying to put the good old question: "what must be done so that people do something for a better world?"
The film is now not a masterpiece, but he is good enough for a nice movie night and a good entertainment for almost 1 ½ hours.
The DVD: The film
me lies in the German retail version before turning to cover.
This holding important an anamorphic aspect ratio of 2.35:1, English and German sound (both in 5.1) and subtitles in German, Turkish, and especially for me, in English.
As a bonus, we get deleted scenes, bloopers, 5 featurettes and a commentary by Woody Harrelson, Kat Dennings and the filmmakers.
What I sadly lacking in this film is a comprehensive making-of, so he only gets
