Well, what shall I tell you .... I'm still in Coober Pedy. This has several reasons: I like the one my host family here very much. Anna in the food supply exactly the same view as me: Free food = good food! Since her best friend and neighbor Lisa is a manager at the supermarket, we get almost everything for free, or at a reduced price. Anna and I are "unpretentious" (modest), and so it makes it not matter if fruit times the job, (which I'm already used), sugar is one rock-hard lumps or 2kg the meal pack already has a crack.
The similarities end there is not and so I feel in Coober well. The only problem, and certainly no cause for complaint, Anna's is time management. If it promises to be back in 2 seconds, then it comes before even that I am sitting with her son Jesse just under 45 minutes on a Geroellhalde and build castles of stone, because the simple goal was throwing too boring at some point.
If I have time real free time, and is rarer than one would expect, I'll go with Jack and walk the dogs (yesterday i was on this walk is covered completely with Wuestensand, I could somehow avoid but not the Geroellhalde on the backside ) Runterzurutschen, swim or read. The house has a very varied selection of interesting books. So I have my dog training, a little psychology and 365 Ideas for TV-free kids games appropriated and an English cookbook (to judge the reputation of English cuisine for, this could indeed be helpful if I unwelcome guests receive) for 50 earned cent.
Furthermore, I'm here every day to school and help as an assistant teacher of the problem children in different grade levels.
(Stacey, and I write this sentence just to make me remember later time, I could not help, unfortunately, it is now thrown out of school.)
Last time yes I had you said that I baked apple strudel and cakes for my family. In Coober, that's more than 1000 km from the next higher city, there is not something like this and like diluting my pastry chef's masterpieces Begeisterungsstuerme. Anna encouraged me to open a bakery, so I baked, after I had to find out that there are no street trading can still stand in the supermarket agree with the law, an advertising pie for the teachers and placed an order attached list. The first day I recorded a lot of praise indeed, but only one order, what me a little (well not so small) little depressed. The next day I received several orders, and since then, however, runs the shop. I deserve not much, but still collect a little pocket money and experience. Today after school I bake for the cake pan-Jacks Jugendfreizeitstaette here think the world's best: P! I think he is there something rash. Greetings to Grandma!
Last weekend I attended the local event on International Women's Day to make a bit of advertising, which unfortunately turned out to be as Fahl shock. The event in itself, a large room, filled with ... hmm Women: D. .. , Baby clothes, advertisements for weight loss diets (according to whose standards I would be almost too fat), homemade food, makeup and wellness products. Midst of this merry gossip event as I walked almost the only male Users around. It was ok.
interesting and admittedly even a little embarrassing to as a belly dance teacher from Adelaide showed us some of your skills and Grundtechnikenbeibrachte. There was a lot of fun and I soon lost the initial inhibition. [The belly dance teacher has at least order a cake!]
Coober apart-from the Breakaways are the scenic charms really rar consists of a few houses and caves in the middle of a Geroellwueste-nothing but gravel, stones, sand and a few scattered shrubs and yet is this really nice little town, largely due to the nice people. Everyone knows everyone, and I've also learned quite a lot of people. In the newspaper I'm here too:). I am now not really a long time in Coober but it's a nice feeling, how quickly you will be integrated into village life, I am in volleyball and in the cricket team:).
Thursday morning I will be cherished opal town in the direction to leave Adelaide, where I am either with friends or a teacher, Anna's daughter stay overnight. From there it goes, either by plane, train or hitchhiking to Perth.
dearest greetings
Timm
PS: I have not called long, which is mainly because that here I do not know me between midnight and six in the morning clock can use his house phone. Most, because they have no home phone have. Although Anna has one, it has, as has Telstra (formerly TELEKOM) apparently missed and has given it appears to be no flat rate. to the faith, have a flat rate have, Jack and Anna in February, telephone and Internet used extensively, which is reflected now in a $ 1,000 bill. Interestingly, (Telekom Greetings) Anna has received for this month, a $ 1,500 bill, even though both Internet and telephone this month were not used.
