The Story:
former assassin Costello (Johnny Hallyday) has as a chef in his own luxury restaurant on the Champs-Élysées to tranquility set. But then he learns that his daughter Sylvie (Irene Thompson), together with her husband and Children, was brutally murdered in Hong Kong. Costello vows revenge and sets out to bring those responsible to account. However, he soon realizes that he does not continue due to lack of local knowledge and language problems, so he was three local professional killer (such as Anthony Wong) hires to do with their help, to find the murderer of his daughter.


The film: This
, the genre of neo-noir crime film to be assigned from the collaboration between Hong Kong and France and was thus combines the stylistic representation of a Crime of both countries, so you can see, despite the scale in Hong Kong, the scenery French character, the character presentation and story telling.

My opinion:
I found the film very refreshing, the story is not the first time been used, but the presentation and a very convincing actor, and chose the beautiful scenery. By
some twists and events, the film seems like a motley bunch of mixed from several other films with potential memory effect, but not copied, but in this situation but something new and unusual.
The film is replaced by the unusual cooperation between the two cultures, the best that we have seen for a long time in this or in similar genres.
scenes are not quite at the beginning to be revealed gradually, and give a good overall picture.
The end of the film, which I do not want to say is, sadly, on the one side, on the other hand, happily-provoking.
I recommend this film to all who are tired of revenge in films only as to see an excuse for violence, of course, also happens in this movie violence, but if you watch the two teams of professional killers, as they sit at a picnic almost over and lead may seem almost friendly conversation, you realize quickly that this film is another would like to convey understanding of violence.




The DVD:
I have received the Chinese DVD, which comes up with a tone of only Mandarin and the original "mixed" soundtrack (English, Mandarin, French), both in 5.1 are. to admire is only a trailer as extras. The picture is in anamorphic 2.35:1 (16:9)
